Renewable Energy Forum Africa (REFA) is the annual investment forum dedicated to supporting and promoting investment in renewable energy across the African continent.

REFA is designed as a premier in-person platform where professionals from Africa’s renewable energy ecosystem convene to connect, exchange ideas, and advance projects. The forum aims to serve as the annual professional meeting point for the industry, mobilising investment across a wide range of renewable energy sectors, including solar, storage, e-mobility, green hydrogen, wind, and hydro.

REFA 2025 was supported by GET.invest, a leading European programme that mobilises investment in clean energy, co‑funded by the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Austria.

Each edition of REFA attracts hundreds of delegates from the global renewable energy industry, all seeking to develop and expand their activities across the African continent.

REFA 2026 will take place over two days, 25-26 November 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria, highlighting Nigeria’s position as West Africa’s largest economy and a rising powerhouse in the energy transition.

REFA is the ideal meeting place for Africa’s renewable energy stakeholders, bringing together institutional and private investors, project developers, policymakers, energy utilities, regulators, corporates, and influential leaders shaping the continent’s energy transition.

The forum will once again focus on 2 key aspects:

1) propose the most up-to-date content and discussions on all key renewables including Utility‑scale solar, Green hydrogen, E‑mobility, Wind energy, Energy storage, Decentralized solar, Hydro, Geothermal, …

2) foster quality meetings for all delegates through the state-of-the-art match-making platform
