The country’s abundance of hydro and solar power potential is well-established. Other technologies are being promoted as well, with the country aiming to double its geothermal capacity by 2030, as well as investing in wind, as shown through Africa’s largest wind power plant at Lake Turkana, commissioned back in June 2018.
