Launch of IPP Capacity Building Program at EFFA Conference

Africa GreenCo, in collaboration with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), Invest Africa, and the Africa Infrastructure Development Association (AfIDA), is thrilled to announce the launch of our IPP Capacity Building Program.

This exciting initiative will be unveiled at the Energy Forum for Africa (EFFA) Conference next week, on August 16th in Lusaka, Zambia. The program, aimed at empowering local developers and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) across the SADC region, will officially commence with a series of webinars starting on Tuesday, August 20th and will continue through December, featuring one session each month. Designed to address key challenges in project development and financing, these webinars will offer actionable insights and expert guidance to help you navigate the complexities of the energy sector.

Meet Our Expert Presenters:

  • Ana Hajduka: Founder & CEO of Africa GreenCo, with over 20 years of experience in project finance and renewable energy across Sub-Saharan Africa. Ana’s extensive background includes advisory roles for power pools in Africa, making her a specialist in IPP project finance and PPA risk allocation.
  • Wezi Gondwe: Head of Business Development, with extensive experience in Zambia’s energy sector and investment banking. His expertise will be invaluable in guiding IPPs through the intricacies of project finance and business growth.
  • Eleanor Morris: Project finance lawyer at GreenCo, specializing in energy and infrastructure transactions in Africa and the Middle East. Eleanor’s experience with international organizations like the AfDB and World Bank positions her as a key resource for IPPs navigating project finance.
