Empower New Energy is thrilled to announce the commissioning of its latest venture, a 507 kWp roof and carport mounted Solar PV installation at the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) in Accra. This milestone project, co-developed in partnership with RIFE Energy Ghana, marks a notable step toward a sustainable energy future for Ghana.

Situated in a prominent location within the capital, the NITA installation constructed by RIFE Ghana is projected to generate 696,000 kWh per year, contributing to the agency’s commitment to leveraging leading technologies for public service. The 15-year contract between Empower New Energy and NITA reduces NITAs current energy costs and CO2 emissions considerably.

NITA stands as a beacon of technological advancement in Ghana, established by Act 771 in 2008 as the ICT policy implementing arm of the Ministry of Communications. As the custodian of Ghana’s IT policies, NITA is dedicated to promoting sustainable growth within the sector by fostering partnerships and advancing essential technologies.
