Following earlier nomination by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Ghana, and the Ghana Netherlands Business & Culture Council (GNBCC) in cooperation with the Dutch Association for SME’s, Dutch and Company Limited was crowned Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 during a special event held on Tuesday the 19th November 2024 hosted by H.E. Mr. Jeroen Verheul, Dutch Ambassador in Ghana.
Every year in November the Netherlands proudly celebrates the Day of the Entrepreneur, initiated by MKB-Nederland, the Dutch association for SME’s, and co-founders of NLinBusiness.com, a digital marketplace providing support to Dutch Entrepreneurs abroad.
During this year’s edition the celebration was taken to the global stage, honouring Dutch entrepreneurs across 11 countries, each showcasing a local leader who embodies the spirit of Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
The theme of sustainability is at the heart of this year’s edition spotlighting entrepreneurs whose businesses  are making a lasting impact though environmentally sound practices and social responsibility. From advancing renewable energy solutions to pioneering waste reduction and circular economy, these remarkable individuals and businesses are leading the way to a more sustainable and prosperous future for all.
Dutch & Co. brough the honour to Ghana this year and was recognized for its contributions to innovation and excellence, environmentally sound practices and social responsibility.
This recognition as Entrepreneur of the Year is incredibly significant for Dutch & Co., and a testament to the companies relentless commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors in Ghana and the West African subregion.
