The Africa battery storage market has experienced substantial growth in recent years, reaching an estimated installed capacity of 1.7-2.5 GWh at the end of 2023, and currently holds 15 GWh of projects under development. The World Bank estimates that South Africa alone will count 10-15GWh of BESS by 2030.

The e-conference aims to help understand the different  energy storage solutions in Africa through technology exploration, component optimization, and innovative service models.

It gathers industry experts to share insights on the latest advancements while providing a platform to showcase innovative projects and solutions tailored for diverse African environments

This marks the 4th edition of AFSIA’s annual e-conference dedicated to storage solutions. In its previous edition in 2023, the event boasted an impressive lineup of 16 distinguished speakers and garnered the attention of over 3,000 registrants.
