Purpose of the Role

The Engineering Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team dedicated to developing and selling structural and civil engineering solutions within the renewable energy sector. This role is crucial for driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and leading strategic initiatives in sales.

Key Responsibilities

– Direct and inspire a sales engineering team to surpass business targets and sales quotas.

– Oversee project compliance to ensure integration of high-quality management practices and operational systems.

– Facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Drafting, and Sales departments to enhance product development and market delivery.

– Maintain exceptional team performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational standards.

– Implement training programs for sales and engineering teams to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring alignment with industry standards and technological advancements.

– Establish performance metrics for the sales engineering team and conduct regular reviews to ensure accountability and progress toward goals.

– Identify potential risks associated with business operations and develop mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.

– Advocate and integrate sustainability practices within the team and project executions to align with the company’s environmental and corporate responsibility goals.

Requirements

Qualifications

– Possess a B.Eng/B.Tech degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.

– Additional qualification in Project Management is highly beneficial, enhancing the candidate’s ability to manage diverse projects effectively.

– Demonstrated leadership and a successful track record in engineering sales within a technical and dynamic environment.

– Advanced knowledge of CRM and ERP systems preferred.

– Certification in relevant sales or engineering management methodologies, such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management.

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Experience Requirements

– Minimum of 10 years of extensive sales experience in the engineering or manufacturing sectors, with a focus on leadership and market expansion.

– Solid experience in managing cross-functional teams and overseeing large-scale projects.

– Strong skills in communication, strategic planning, and team development are essential.
