This is a contract role for an Energy Economist, Contracts, and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Expert. As part of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating energy economics, negotiating contracts, and managing power purchase agreements. This is a hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility, but primarily based in Cape Town.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of energy economics, with expertise in renewable energy
  • Experience in contract negotiation and management
  • Understanding of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and electricity markets
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, or a related field
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
