The U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a $1.15 million grant to Globeleq Zambia Wind Limited (Globeleq) for a feasibility study for an estimated 100-megawatt wind power plant in the Muchinga Province of Zambia. The study will be carried out by U.S. engineering firm, DNV GL Energy USA, Inc. of Katy, TX, with Globeleq providing financial, development and project management planning services.
