In the busy city of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a groundbreaking event took place that would pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future. It was a historic moment as Huawei Digital Power hosted its first-ever summit in Africa, bringing together channel partners from across the region to unveil the latest sustainable energy solutions in the industry.

It was the Huawei Fusion Solar Tanzania Partner Summit 2024, a gathering of innovative minds dedicated to harnessing the power of solar energy to light up Africa in an eco-friendly manner.

The theme of the Summit, “Lighting Up a Greener Africa” resonated with all attendees, as they were eager to explore the latest sustainable energy solutions in the industry.

On his remarks, the President of Huawei Digital Power Sub-Saharan Africa Region, Mr Xia Hesheng, set the tone for the event with his visionary speech on how carbon neutrality and intelligence will shape the future of ecological civilization.

“With the continuous improvement of photovoltaic(PV) generation efficiency and lower prices,” he said …“the era of ‘PV+ Storage parity’ is coming, and PV + energy storage will become the most economical and universal form of power,” he added.

With a focus on “Storage parity” Mr. Xia highlighted the growing efficiency and affordability of photovoltaic generation, emphasizing that solar energy coupled with energy storage would soon become the most economical and widespread form of power.

Literally, PV systems generate electricity from sunlight collected by solar panels. This energy can be used directly or stored in batteries.

PV systems have been successfully deployed all over the world for decades in a variety of applications, including power for remote weather stations and telecommunications towers, residential installations, community micro-grids, and grid-scale power plants. Perhaps the greatest advantage of PV technology in meeting such a wide range of applications is scalability.

Huawei’s commitment to providing full-scenario solar solutions and cutting-edge technologies based on 4T Bit, Thermal, Watt, Battery underscored their leadership in the industry.

Mr Xia added, “Facing the booming market prospects of the PV industry, Huawei Digital Power will continue to deepen its ecological strategy, adhering to the principles of “shared benefits as the bridge, integrity as the foundation, and rules as the guarantee.”

“Huawei will establish a partnership system based on “trust, profit, simplicity, and growth,” growing together with partners and winning in the new era of Digital Power,” he said.

As the Summit unfolded, Huawei Digital Power unveiled its channel partner policy, centered on mutual benefit and ecosystem integration. The four ‘PSEE’ measures—Profitability, Simplicity, Enablement, Ecosystem—outlined the company’s dedication to enhancing partner capabilities and fostering a thriving partnership system based on trust, growth, and simplicity.

Vice President of Huawei Digital Power Eastern Africa Region, Nick Lusson, shed light on global trends in the smart PV industry and Huawei’s role in promoting smart string inverters
worldwide.
