Key Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled maintenance and performance testing on solar systems to ensure optimal operation.
Troubleshoot and repair any system faults or issues with solar panels, inverters, and electrical components.
Lead and perform the installation of solar PV systems, including mounting, wiring, inverters, batteries, and other associated equipment.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review site plans, schematics, and system design for solar installations.
Assist in the technical design of solar systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.
Provide feedback on design improvements and efficiency optimizations based on field experience.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local and national electrical codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
Perform safety inspections and risk assessments before commencing any project.
Maintain detailed records of installations, service logs, and inventory used for each project.
Prepare and submit reports on system performance, repairs, and energy production to management.
Ensure all technical documentation and project files are up-to-date and accessible
Serve as a point of contact for clients during installations and maintenance, addressing concerns and providing updates
Job-Specific Competencies
Functional:
Strong understanding of electrical system, wiring, and circuits including inverters and power distribution
Ability to diagnose and repair issues in solar power systems
Familiarity with Solar-specific tools and requirements
Staying updated on the latest developments in solar technology.

Qualifications & Experience Required
Minimum HND in any relevant discipline.
4 – 7years’ relevant experience
Extensive experience working with electrical systems and renewable energy technologies.
