Sales Manager South Africa (C&I)

As a Sales Manager, you will be driving the sales performance for the Southern African market, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, you will be led to meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Southern Africa DG C&I team.
  • Position LONGi as leading brand in the region in close collaboration with our Marketing team.
  • Manage C&I partners and help grow their business.
  • Lead the installer engagement drive across South Africa and Southern Africa region.
  • Strong understanding of the SA and southern Africa DG market, policies, key drivers, strong networks and stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and create clear strategies to convert them.
  • Develop specific customer and campaign plans, driving leadership in their execution.
  • Increase sales performance within the Southern Africa region and accountable for implementing and executing the monthly, quarterly and annual sales strategy.
  • Provide weekly and bi-weekly reporting to sales management, including sales pipeline development, forecasting, key account status, market condition updates, sales results and team earnings.
  • Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region, participate in the formulation of the sales contract negotiation and contract confirmation.
  • Conduct contract risk assessments and working closely with relevant parties to mitigate risks.
  • Complete the relevant reports and jobs designated by the regional sales director, and attend the relevant regular meetings.
  • Responsible for customer support during entire sales cycle to include, but not limited to:

· Responsible for internal acceptance and approval of customer orders.

· Work with the logistics and sales support to ensure that customer receives optimal support and ensure proper order fulfilment.

· Assist, and if need be, lead recovery efforts for LONGi account receivables

· Assists with budget management to ensure expenses meet target goals.

  • Represent LONGi at conferences, customer events and exhibitions within the region.
  • Travel as required


  • Experience in direct sales and sales management, at least 5 years of working experience in the photovoltaic industry, new energy industry, inverter industry, or battery industry is preferred.
  • Experience in business development.
  • A clear grasp of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms
  • Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a professional, “can-do” attitude
  • A Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Fluency in English.
