JinkoSolar provides high efficient and reliable solar modules to the Lighting Africa programme launched by the World Bank Group for Nigeria.
The modules will be deployed in multiple hybrid solar minigrid projects dispersed across Nigeria, to help increase access to affordable, clean and safer lighting for more than 30% of Nigeria’s population who live in rural areas and have low incomes and no access to grid electricity.
The solar-powered solutions jointly offered by JinkoSolar and its partner ACOB Lighting Technology Limited will reduce the hazards of using fuel-based energy resources, improve the climate and accelerate development in Nigeria.
Gener Miao, CMO of JinkoSolar, said: “We are happy to partner with ACOB Lighting Technology Limited, a trusted local distribution company to bring off-grid lighting and energy services across Africa by establishing reliable supply, quality standards, investing in consumer education, in order to achieve inclusive electrification in Nigeria.”
