The first ALER Talk will take place on May 26 at 10:30a.m. with the theme “New Regulatory Framework for Renewable Energy Projects in Angola” where we will discuss the conditions that are being created to promote private investment in the development of new renewable energy projects, namely the publication of new regulations and a regime of incentives.

The following documents will be discussed:

  • Regulation of Electricity Production, Transport, Distribution and Sale Activities, approved by Presidential Decree No. 76/21, of March 25;
  • Regulation of Independent Power Production, approved by Presidential Decree No. 43/21, of February 17;
  • Incentive Framework for Private Investment in Renewable Energy, approved by the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers at the end of 2020.

These regulations open the doors to new investments in renewable generation in Angola, whose opportunities and details we want to make available.

We will have the presence of Dr. Marino Bulles, Head of the Technical-Legal Department of the IRSEA, the energy regulator of Angola,  as a speaker who will be available to interact directly with the other speakers and clarify all the questions of the participants, Gonçalo Anacoreta, Country Manager of Source Energia in Angola and Vanda Cascão, Partner of VdA – Vieira de Almeida.
