SUMMARY:Webinar - Maximise the value of your solar assets with energy storage technology
DESCRIPTION:Energy storage solutions can drive down the lifetime electricity cost of solar assets and maximise revenues\, especially now that robust tax incentives and credits have strengthened the business case of solar-plus-storage. \nProject developers are increasingly hybridising solar PV projects with battery technology. Solar-plus-storage projects demonstrate that renewable energy can become a dispatchable asset\, offering a flexible and reliable way of delivering clean energy without the high capex of nuclear and the high opex of fossil fuels. \nWith solar-plus-storage projects becoming commonplace globally\, research organisation BloombergNEF (BNEF) forecasts that by 2030\, 55% of energy storage builds will be paired with solar to provide energy shifting. As the market evolves\, system design becomes an important consideration when developing and managing complex renewable projects while also generating value-based asset management. \nJoin this webinar and: \n\nLearn why solar-plus-storage market is gaining ground and the financial models underpinning it\nUnderstand the technical and revenue trade-offs of AC- vs. DC-coupled projects\nFind out how smart energy management software for asset optimisation and efficiency also reduces environmental impacts\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Renpower Africa Storage
DESCRIPTION:RENPOWER Africa Storage will highlight the evolution and ambitions taken to scale-up energy storage projects in the African continent. The conversations will involve the public and private sector stakeholders. \nAs the African continent transitions towards a zero-emission electricity sector by including more renewable sources in the energy mix\, it will naturally require large scale energy storage in abundance which can be used to maintain a constant supply and demand of electricity\, smoothing intermittency of renewables\, and enhance energy security\, amongst other benefits. \nThe need for energy storage systems (ESS) is also key to continue integrating renewables onto the grid\, many countries in West Africa are looking into launching calls for tender for the development of large-scale solar parks with storage capacity in Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast to smooth the flow of solar energy and use the saved power during evening peak hours. In Sub-Sahara Africa\, Malawi’s first utility-scale grid-connected 20MW Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Project has entered commercial operations. \nThrough South Africa’s REIPPPP model\, Eskom has recently awarded contracts to two successful bidders for the provision of battery storage solutions in terms of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. The 1\,440MWh distributed BESS combined with 60MW Solar PV represents a giant leap forward for large-scale deployment in support of South Africa’s renewable energy strategy and addresses local overall system challenges. This is the first part of the 500MW BESS initiative announced by the government. \nThe conference will also address topics such as the use of energy storage systems (ESS) in C&I and mining sites; as well as exploring green hydrogen as a long-term energy storage solution and how the continent is reacting to unlock the multiple benefits. \nAudience: The event will gather under one roof key stakeholders including Renewable power developers\, EPC contractors\, Engineering\, Battery storage technology providers\, Equipment manufacturers\, Mining companies\, Legal and advisory services\, Banking and private equity entities\, Representatives from the government\, International Finance Institutions (IFIs)\, Sectorial/regional agencies and associations. \nAgenda and registration – The detailed agenda\, speaker line-up and registration form will be available upon your written inquiry. Make sure to register early to benefit from the early bird conditions. \nFor more information\, please contact:\nJose Romero\nEvent Manager\njromero@euroconventionglobal.com\n+1 407 227 3831 \nRegister here
