SUMMARY:ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum 2022
DESCRIPTION:ESEF is the premier energy event in West Africa. It was instituted in 2015 by ECREEE to support investment in sustainable energy anchored in strong policy initiatives of the ECOWAS member states.\nESEF is a demand-driven and result-oriented event\, which aims to facilitate investments in the regional renewable energy sector. The forum promotes cooperation and partnerships to accelerate the uptake of a viable market for sustainable energy solutions in the ECOWAS. ESEF is also a platform for improving the policy and regulatory landscape for private sector investment through engagement between ECOWAS policy makers\, regional and international private sector players\, and financial institutions.ESEF 2022 aims to catalyse business partnerships\, exchange information and raise awareness about the progress made by ECOWAS members in the region on SDG-7.\nESEF 2022 is supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA)\, and the Spanish Agency for international Development Cooperation (AECID)\, in partnership with IRENA.\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Renewable Energy Conference 2022 (REC22)
DESCRIPTION:Uganda and the rest of Africa share great challenges concerning reliable and affordable supply of sustainable (green) energy. Addressing such challenges could be most effectively done if the academia\, industry\, government\, and non-governmental organization joined forces. \nThis background motivated the establishment of the National Renewable Energy Platform (NREP) under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) to spearhead the establishment of the interlink amongst the stakeholders. \nThrough the NREP\, the MEMD is organising the Renewable Energy Conference 2022 (REC22) to bring together the forementioned stakeholders to share the diverse approaches of curbing the energy sector challenges and fostering renewable energy adoption in Uganda. The REC22 will mainly focus on scientific\, technical\, and organizational innovations as well as policy recommendations on sustainable energy generation\, transmission\, and distribution. \n\n\nConference Topics\n\n\n\n\nOral and poster presentations on technological\, economic\, and social aspects of innovative solutions for African communities\, particularly Uganda in the field of Renewable Energy. Papers discussing results or strategies for local and international cooperation in the field of Renewable Energy are highly welcome. \nTopics to consider for the REC22 include\, but not limited to: \n\n\n\n\n\nSmart grid\nGreen Hydrogen\nDemand-side energy management\nArtificial intelligence in energy sector\n\nRegister here
