SUMMARY:The 5th International Off-Grid Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The International Off-Grid Renewable Energy Conference is Just Around the Corner\nThe fifth edition of the International Off-grid Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition (IOREC) will take place virtually\, on 7-9 December 2021. Convened by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)\, IOREC is a leading global platform for sharing experience and best practices on enabling policies\, tailored financing\, innovation in business models and technology as well as the cross-sectoral and socioeconomic significance of energy access through off-grid renewables. \nIOREC 2021 will present a key opportunity to discuss the measures necessary to accelerate off-grid systems deployment\, and highlight their role in meeting several Sustainable Development Goals. This year’s programme will focus particularly on this latter aspect\, shining a light on the role of off-grid renewable energy solutions in improving and providing essential services in the agri-food sector\, education\, and in supporting countries to achieve their Nationally Determined Contributions. In particular and as a follow-up to the the first International Conference on Renewable Energy Solutions for Healthcare Facilities held in 2018\, IOREC will also host a session on the crucial role of off-grid renewables for healthcare. \nIn parallel with the Conference\, the Alliance for Rural Electrification\, the Industry partner of IOREC\, will organise the virtual networking to interact with each other\, set up bilateral meetings among interested parties from all the different stakeholder groups attending IOREC. \nFor any queries regarding the Conference: iorec@irena.org or are@ruralelec.org
