SUMMARY:Out with the old… A guide to successful inverter replacement
DESCRIPTION:As the number of PV systems already in operation for several years grows\, demand for “revamping” by replacement off all the inverters in a project is estimated at several gigawatts per year and expected to increase rapidly through the 2020s. There are a number of reasons why project owners are taking interest in this strategy. In some cases\, older inverters may simply be underperforming\, or may be struggling to get hold of replacement parts for models no longer manufactured or suppliers that have since left the market. For younger projects as well\, issues with poor installation\, system design or product quality also lead owners to consider inverter placement. \nRevamping a project with new inverters has already been shown to pay off\, and as demand begins to broaden from regions such as Italy\, Germany and Spain that have a larger based of projects more than five years old\, pv magazine is partnering with Sungrow to take a look into the advantages and potential pitfalls of inverter replacement.\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nRegister here

SUMMARY:Solar Power Summit 2021 – Driving Sustainable Change
DESCRIPTION:The year 2021 is not just “any year”. The European solar sector has demonstrated its immense growth potential\, and its resilience to drive sustainable growth in the long-term. But there is much more to harvest. Solar energy is the most job intensive energy source\, creating more than 4 million jobs globally. Is it also the most versatile and affordable energy source in history\, supporting the competitiveness of EU businesses\, the sustainability of European homes\, and spreading well beyond the energy sector. \nIn light of these recognitions\, SolarPower Europe\, supported by GET.invest\, will organise the 2021 edition of the SolarPower summit virtually on 10-12 May 2021. This year’s edition is 100% dedicated to driving sustainable change\, and making the recovery a true European success story. \nRegister here
