DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Africa Minigrids Developers Association (AMDA) and Energy Catalyst\, we invite the energy access industry to AMDA’s first global virtual conference dedicated to accelerating innovation to end energy poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. \nWith many people in the region without access to reliable energy services\, traditional\, centralised grid-based approaches are not feasible or affordable for the majority of unserved poor households. Minigrid development is crucial to alleviating the energy trilemma in Sub-Saharan Africa as they offer a cost-effective solution for rural and off-grid communities and businesses through the provision of low-cost\, reliable and clean power. \nThis conference aims to raise awareness and facilitate knowledge exchange on technology and product trends\, investment\, energy demand and state of the market relating to mini-grid developments between innovators\, co-funding partners and programmes who share a strategic interest in innovations to address the energy trilemma. \nInternational attendees are encouraged to register and join us live on the virtual platform for part of the event which coordinates with their time zone.
